Storm Signs Six during Fall Signing Period

Painesville, Ohio – Storm head coach Reni Lawrence has announced six student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent during the fall signing period.

Baylor Fortune attends Huron High School and plays club soccer for Team Challenger FC as a defender. In her high school career, Fortune has been awarded North Central District Player of the Year and Conference Player of the Year, and also received District and Conference First Team Honors. While at Lake Erie College she plans to major in Pre-Veterinarian Studies.

Emilie Coyne attends Valley Forge High School and plays club soccer for Club TCFC as a midfielder. Coyne is a three-year scholar-athlete, and has GLC All-Conference 2nd Team, 2017 GCSSCA Honorable Mention honors, as well as being named Athlete of the Month in September of this past season. She is currently undecided about her major course of study at Lake Erie College in the coming fall semester.

Bailey Pattinson attends Millford High School in Highland, Michigan, and plays club soccer for CW3 Jaguars as a defender and midfielder. In 2016 and 2017 she earned KLAA Honorable mention and Academic All-Conference honors. In 2017 and 2018 she was given All-District honors, and in 2018 she earned LVC First Team All-Conference and LVC Academic All-Conference Honors.

Grace Cady attends Lake Orion High School and plays club soccer for Nationals Union as a forward. Throughout her high school career, she has been a State Cup finalist, and has been named to All-Tournament teams and given All-League honors, as well as earning a Scholar-Athlete award. While at Lake Erie, Grace plans to study Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Mariah Fadewa attends Portland High School and plays club soccer for the Michigan Rush as a forward and midfielder. She was the varsity captain of her high school team for two years, and has earned multiple awards such as Offensive Player of the Year, Ionia County Player of the Year, and All-Conference Honorary Captain in addition to earning All-District honors. She was an All-Academic Award winner for three years, and plans to study Biology with a Pre-Physical Therapy concentration at Lake Erie College.

Megan Cornell attends Ashland High School and plays club soccer for Ohio Strikers United as a midfielder and a forward. She was a four-year varsity letter-winner, and a two year captain of teams that won their conference and district championships throughout her career. Additionally, Cornell earned multiple awards and honors including First Team All-District, Seccond-Team OCC, and Adidas National Showcase Player of the Game. Megan plans to study Early Childhood Education at Lake Erie College.
