Jamie Shadd-Matson was introduced as Lake Erie College's head women's soccer coach in January of 2011 and will be leading the Storm for her first season in the fall.  Shadd, a Cleveland native who played collegiately at Gannon University, was most recently an assistant at Millersville University.

Prior to coaching at Millersville, Shadd-Matson began her career as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater in 2008 and then moved on to Division III Allegheny College. At Allegheny, she helped the Gators to an 11-6-2 record and NCAA Tournament appearance.  She joined the Millersville staff in July of 2010.

Shadd-Matson was a four-year letter-winner and starter during her career at Gannon, earning CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and GLIAC All-Academic Team honors.  In 2006, she was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Region team and All-GLIAC Second Team after scoring 12 goals, including four game-winners, and 26 points to lead the Golden Knights.

She finished her career ranked in the top six in school history in goals scored, points and assists.

A graduate of Cleveland's Padua Franciscan High School, Shadd-Matson has extensive experience in planning team training sessions, fitness and conditioning programs, fundraising and recruiting.  She has also coached and served as director of club operations for the Xplosion Football Club in Cleveland since 2007 and coached with the Erie Admirals Soccer Club.

Shadd-Matson earned her bachelor's degree in elementary/special education from Gannon in 2007 and received a master's degree in education curriculum and instruction from the school in 2009. She and her husband, Jon, were married in July 2011.
