Parrigan pulled out a win at first singles in the day's most exciting match, outlasting Clarion's (2-5) Jaclyn Metzger 7-6, 2-6, 10-8 while Rideout picked up a 6-6, 6-3 win at third singles over Alysia Sturdivant.

Parrigan also earned a win at first doubles, teaming with sophomore Emily Rose-Gray (Marine City, Mich./Marine City) for an 8-4 victory over Metzger and Michaela Hardy.

The Eagles won matches at second doubles and second and fourth singles and also picked up two points with default victories and fifth and sixth singles and another at third doubles.

Against Ashland (5-1, 5-1 GLIAC), the Storm (0-8, 0-7 GLIAC) drop all four contested singles matches in straight sets and the two doubles matches went the Eagles way by identical 8-2 scores.

The Storm returns home to host GLIAC foe Saginaw Valley State University during Homecoming/Alumni Weekend on Friday, Oct. 1, at the Mentor Heisley Racquet Club.
