CANTON, OHIO --  The Lake Erie College women's tennis team returned from a 12-day break but fell in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on the road at Walsh University Friday (Sept. 28), 9-0.

Junior Jordyn Parrigan (Shelby, Ohio/Shelby) made her season debut after missing the season's first six matches due to injury, but the Storm (0-7, 0-7 GLIAC) was without its regular first singles player, freshman Cristina Suarez (Puebla, Mexico / Tecnologico de Monterrey) and had to forfeit matches at sixth singles and third doubles.

The Cavaliers (1-6, 1-6 GLIAC) won the five contested singles matches in straight sets and the two doubles matches by matching 8-2 scores.

Lake Erie is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 29, hosting Malone University at the Mentor Heisley Racquet Club at 4 p.m.
