Storm Women Fall to Ohio Dominican on Sunday

MENTOR, OHIO – Visiting Ohio Dominican University dominated eight of the nine matches en route to its fourth straight victory with a 9-0 defeat of the Lake Erie College women's tennis team in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on Sunday (Oct. 7) at the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club.

Sophomore Erika Ginn (Ashtabula, Ohio/Lakeside) won the first set of her match with Anita Girizd at second singles 6-4 before falling in three sets 4-6, 6-0, 10-7.  However, the Panthers (7-4, 7-4 GLIAC) won all five other singles matches by convincing 6-0, 6-0 scores.  ODU won two of the doubles matches 8-0 and the third 8-2.

The Storm (0-11, 0-11 GLIAC) host the University of Findlay next Friday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. to kickoff Homecoming/Alumni Weekend activities.
