Storm Women Unable to Slow Streaking Warriors

MENTOR, OHIO -- The Lake Erie College women's team hoped to end the fall portion of its schedule on a winning note, but the Storm ran into one of the hottest teams in the country as visiting Wayne State University rolled to its 12th straight win with a 9-0 victory at the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club Sunday (Oct. 14).

The Warriors (13-1, 13-1 GLIAC) won both contest singles matches, 8-2, 8-0 and then won the third by forfeit.  Wayne State then took all five singles matches in straight sets as the Storm (0-14, 0-14 GLIAC) managed just two games in the singles portion.
