Women's Tennis Falls to Walsh in Home Finale

MENTOR, OHIO -- Visiting Walsh University won its fourth straight match, defeating the Lake Erie College women's tennis team 9-0 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action Thursday afternoon (Sept. 19) at the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club.

The Cavaliers (5-2, 5-2 GLIAC) won all five contested singles matches in straight sets, yielding just six games to the Storm (0-7, 0-7 GLIAC) in the process.  Walsh also won the two doubles matches convincingly and picked up a pair of default victories at sixth singles and third doubles.

The match was the final home match for the Storm during the fall championship season. Lake Erie plays its final seven matches on the road starting next Saturday, Sept. 28, at Malone University.
