Joe Morgan was hired in the fall of 2009 to lead the Lake Erie College tennis programs for both men and women as the teams which began varsity competition during the 2009-10 academic year after a lengthy hiatus.

Morgan is the tennis director at the Mentor Heisley Racquet & Fitness Club - a position he’s held since 2005. He previously served as the tennis professional with C.A.R., Inc., as well as with the Chagrin Valley Country Club and the Chagrin Valley Athletic Country Club.

Not only does Morgan have almost 20 years experience instructing as a professional, but he’s also been a coach at the high school level since 1980, most recently as the Mentor High School varsity girls’ coach. He also spent time as a head coach at Gilmour Academy (1992-96) with the girls and boys, Magnificat High School (1988-89) with the girls and his alma mater, St. Joseph High School (1980-87) with the boys’ program.

Morgan attended nearby Lakeland Community College, as well as Miami University. He is a member of USPTA.
