Storm Finish with Split in Halloween Tri-Match

PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lake Erie Storm volleyball team could not build off its momentum from its win over Glenville State earlier in the day and fell to the Findlay Oilers, 3-1 (10-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-25).  

Freshman outside hitter Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) led the Storm with 12 kills in 36 attacks. She also added 10 digs for her second double-double of the day.  

Lake Erie (9-26) finished the match with a .224 hitting percentage, with 42 kills and 14 errors in 125 attacks as a team.  

Senior outside hitter Erica Muniak (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) led the Storm on the defensive side with 11 digs.  

 Sophomore setters Krista O'Connor (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) and Lauren Bogatay (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) had 15 and 14 assists, respectively. Each added a service ace.  

The Storm returns to the home floor on Tuesday (Nov. 3) for a 7 p.m. match against Ohio Valley University.
