Walter and Richardson's Efforts Not Enough Against St. Joseph's

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Sophomore Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and freshman Molly Richardson (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) combined for 14 kills and just three errors, but it was not enough for the Lake Erie College volleyball team as they dropped a three-set match to St. Joseph's College (Ind.) in its final match Mizuno GLIAC/GLVC Crossover in Aurora, Ill.

Walter had eight kills and Richardson six, but the rest of the Storm combined for six kills and 12 errors.

The Pumas took the match by a count of 25-13, 25-12, 25-18.

The Storm could not stop St. Joseph's attack as they tailed 34 kills and just eight errors in 70 attacks, while Lake Erie had just three blocks as a team.

Lake Erie is home for three matches this upcoming week, starting with a non-conference tilt against Edinboro on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
