Storm Volleyball Swept by #10 Hillsdale

Junior Mary Walter (Solon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) sparked the Storm with four kills and two aces and junior Michelle Naab (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) had a team-high five kills but #10-ranked Hillsdale College (22-1, 16-0 GLIAC) was too much for Lake Erie College (4-22, 1-14 GLIAC) to handle as the Chargers took the GLIAC match in straight sets in Painesville . 

Hillsdale won by counts of 25-10, 25-9, 25-18.  The bright spot in the match for Lake Erie occurred win the third set when they went on a 10-4 run to close the defecit to 17-15 before the Chargers prevailed. 

Junior Lauren Bogatay (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) led the Storm with nine assists and senior Lauren Johnson (Wellington, Ohio/Keystone) and freshman Molly Richardson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger) each had seven digs.

Hillsdale hit at a tremendous percentage of .474 while Lake Erie stayed in the positive at .014. 

The Storm will look to return to the win column on tomorrow when they take on GLIAC foe Wayne State in a home match at 2:00 p.m.
