Volleyball Snagged By Oilers In Three Sets

PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Starting a tough three matches in three days road trip, Lake Erie College (2-18, 1-14 GLIAC) fell short of the University of Findlay (12-11, 6-11 GLIAC), in straight sets in Findlay, Ohio. 

The Storm fell by a count of 25-22, 25-15, 25-18. 

The first set was the most competitive with Lake Erie holding the advantage in the set with 13 kills. 

For the match, Jamie Hoppe (Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde) led Lake Erie with six kills.  Senior Krista O'Connor (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) directed the Storm offense with 10 assists while junior Rachael Ritt (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) managed nine digs. 

The Storm's road trip continues tomorrow at Hillsdale College at 5:00 p.m.
