ASHLAND, Ohio—The Lake Erie College volleyball team fell at Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division leading Ashland University in straight sets on Wednesday (Oct. 31).
The Eagles (19-6, 9-5 GLIAC) won the sets 25-14, 25-17, 25-12.
The Storm (3-17, 0-14 GLIAC) were led by Sara Aultz (Wooster, Ohio/Orrville) and Jamie Hoppe (Green Springs, Ohio/Clyde) who recorded five kills apiece. Freshman Kathryn Ferry (Lima, Ohio/Lima Central Catholic) led the Storm with six digs.
Brittany Snider led the Eagles with 17 kills and Marci Zegarac tallied 15 digs.
The Storm return to action on Friday night (Nov. 2) hosting GLIAC foe Ohio Dominican University (8-17, 5-9 GLIAC) at 7 pm in the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center.
