Storm Looks to Extend Win Streak at Alderson Broaddus (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College volleyball will look to add another win to the four-game win streak as they travel to face the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus University on Tuesday (Sept. 13). The Storm is riding a four match winning streak after last weekend.

Storm Report: The Storm is currently 4-3 on the season after a 4-0 weekend at the Daeman College/Hyatt Place Classic. On Friday (Sept. 9), the Storm defeated Roberts Wesleyan and Daeman. On Sunday (Sept. 11), Lake Erie took two matches against Assumption and Saint Rose. The Roberts Wesleyan and Assumption matches ended in sweeps while the St. Rose match went five sets.

GLIAC Honorable Mention: For the second straight week, outside hitter Brooke Peiffer (Lansing, Mich. /Holt) was named to the GLIAC Honorable Mention list for week 2. In the Storm's four wins, Peiffer totaled 47 kills, 3 service aces, 39 digs and had a .241 hitting percentage.

Series History: The Storm and the Battlers have gone to battle twice before. Last year, the Storm swept the Battlers in three sets at the IUP Invite. Alderson Broaddus won the matchup in 2009 in four sets.

Opposition Position: Alderson Broaddus enters the matchup with the Storm with a 0-7 record. The Battlers dropped three matches over the weekend to West Georgia, St. Mary's (TX) and Bellarmine.

Storm Forecast: Lake Erie will open GLIAC play and the home schedule with a matchup with the Walsh University Cavaliers on Friday (Sept. 16).
