PAINESVILLE, OHIO - The Lake Erie College men's and women's cross country teams dropped a unique dual meet Saturday (Sept. 26) at the annual Edinboro University Rag Relays.
The races were run in relay format, with each member of the three-runner squad running three (women) or four (men) 1,5000-meter laps.
On the men's side, the winning team from Edinboro finished with a time of 55:25. Lake Erie's team on junior Kyle Griffith (Painesville, Ohio/Harvey/Capital) and freshmen Cody Lancaster (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake North) and Devin O'Neill (Concord, Ohio/Mentor) finished in 59:12.
For the women, sophomores Allison Wright (Columbus, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) and Carrie Crews (Chardon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and freshman Leah Jones (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights) finished in 55:27. The winning squad from Edinboro posted a combined time of 47:52.
