Hall Sets LEC 10K Mark at NCAA Midwest Regional

KENOSHA, WISC. -- The Lake Erie College men's cross country team placed 19th out of 23 teams at the NCAA Division II Midwest R

egional Meet Saturday (Nov. 3) at the Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisc.  The event was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Freshman Nick Hall (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) was the Storm's top runner, finishing 57th overall in the field of 158 runners with a time of 32:38, a school-record time for the 10,000-meter course.  Junior Cody Lancaster (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake) placed 73rd with a time of 32:47.  

They were followed by senior Craig Gerber (Fremont, Ohio/Clyde) in 95th place with a time of 33:17, junior Jimmy Hudd (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor/Ashland) with a time of 34:11 for 118th place, and freshman David Thorn (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) in 37:27 (152nd) to close out the Storm scoring.  

Senior David Gobrogge (Akron, Ohio/Green) rounded out the Lake Erie contingent with a time of 37:47.
