EDINBORO, PA. -- Sophomore Nick Hall (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls) and freshman Conor Gordon (Burke, N.Y./Franklin Academy) combined to post the fastest team time at the annual Rag Relay event hosted by Edinboro University Saturday (Sept. 21), becoming the first Storm squad to defeat the Fighting Scots in the event.
It also marked the first time in 44 years - a span of 143 meets - that Edinboro did not finish first in a non-championship or dual home meet, including the previous 10 editions of the Rag Relays.
Hall and Gordon combined for a tandem time of 36:52, besting two Edinboro pairs that posted identical 37:19 times.
The Rag Relays are held annually in the fall at Edinboro, and consist of two-member teams with each member running four 1,500m legs. All times are accumulated and added together to create the final finishing time.
The Storm are idle until the All-Ohio Championships Oct. 4 at Cedarville University.
