Cross Country Finishes 13th in G-MAC Championships

(CANTON, Ohio) – Lake Erie's men's cross country team competed in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference championships at GlenOak High School on Saturday afternoon. The event was hosted by Walsh and saw the Storm finish in 13th.

Brandon Bryan was the top Storm thin clad who completed the 8K event in a time of 29:49.4 to finish 82nd individually and scored 55 points in the team standings. He averaged a 6:00 mile flat with an average kilometer of 3:43.7.

Crossing the finish line next for the Green and White was Remy Kiptoo with a time of 32:18.5. He was followed by Josheph Elson with a time of 32:53.1.

Completing the team score for the Storm were Soren Jaffe and Montrell Devaughn. Jaffe finished with a time of 33:33.9, while Devaughn did so at 36:48.1.

On the women's side, Emma Korir ran individually and finished the 6K with a time of 28:57.6. She had an average mile of 7:45.8 and an average kilometer of 4:49.6.

The cross country team will wrap up the season in two weeks at fellow G-MAC member Hillsdale in the Midwest Regional Championships.
