PAINESVILLE, Ohio—The Lake Erie College athletic department announced its sponsorship of a foursome consisting of Painesville City police officers at the upcoming Storm Golf Scramble on August 4 at Little Mountain Country Club.
Director of Athletics Reid Guarnieri said, "Given recent events but just as importantly as a sign of our gratitude for all of their service to Lake Erie College and the Painesville community, we are honored to provide these officers with a day of fun and appreciation."
The scramble will feature a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, range balls, as well as lunch at the turn and dinner. The event will also feature an auction and opportunity to win several major prizes including a $10,000 Hole-in-One Contest. Hole sponsorships are also available for purchase. All proceeds will go towards funding the Storm student-athlete experience.
"In addition to our very successful student-athlete centered Tibbys event, we are excited at the prospect of this inaugural outing providing another opportunity for our friends and supporters to interact and learn first-hand what their contributions mean to our athletic program," Guarnieri added.
Registration and hole sponsorship are available online at www.lec.edu/StormScramble. The deadline to register is Monday, August 1.
