INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Lake Erie College in partnership with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and SPIRE Institute, has been selected to host the 2019-2020 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving National Championships.
Lake Erie College Athletic Director Reid Guarnieri said "A lot of work goes into the submission of a bid to host an NCAA Championship and I want to thank the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and SPIRE Institute for partnering with Lake Erie on this venture. Based on our track and field program's regular training at the facility and having served as host for a conference swimming and diving championship in the past, we know SPIRE will provide a superb venue for our fellow Division II institutions. We are of course extremely proud to play a role in bringing an NCAA Championship to Cleveland and look forward to coordinating our efforts with the GCSC come 2020. We also offer our gratitude to the NCAA for our selection and look forward to welcoming them to our community."
"We are honored to be selected by the NCAA to host such prestigious events, and equally excited to partner with Lake Erie College for the DII Swimming & Diving Championships in 2020," said Jeff Orloff, SPIRE Chief Operating Officer.
