INDIANAPOLIS, Ind – Lake Erie College Director of Athletics Kelley Kish has been named to the NCAA DII Women's Soccer Committee.
The NCAA is comprised of over 150 committees from various NCAA institutions and conferences. These committees help govern policies and procedures within the organization by meeting to examine issues that impact the NCAA across its divisions.
The NCAA DII Women's Soccer Committee is responsible for organizing appropriate championships, including forming brackets and selecting teams to fill them, as well as establishing playing rules and procedures for competition in NCAA DII Women's Soccer.
"I appreciate the DII Nominating Committee selected me for this service to our Division and the sport of Women's Soccer. It is an honor to have an impact and role within the Championship experience and season for all DII Women's Soccer student-athletes."
Kish will represent the Midwest Region on the National Committee and chair the Midwest Region Regional Advisory Committee. She has been appointed to a four year term, starting September 1st, 2018.
The DII Women's Soccer 2018 season will end with the Championship at the Fall Sports Festival in Pittsburgh.
Kish's other NCAA governance experience includes service on the Women's Volleyball Rules Committee, with election as the chair for two years and serving on the DII Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Committee. She has previous regional ranking service in the sports of Men's Basketball, Softball and Women's Soccer.
