Sports Information Policies and Media Services

The following policies and procedures are put in place to help serve the needs of the media while complying with NCAA rules and regulations regarding student-athlete privacy and access.  The Sports Information and Marketing Office coordinates all publicity and promotional needs of the Lake Erie College Department of Athletics.  For more information, or if you have questions, comments or concerns, please contact:

Interviews – Interviews with student-athletes and coaches will be granted before or after practice only if arrangements have been made with the Lake Erie College Sports Information & Marketing office or Storm head coach at least 48 hours in advance. Player interviews will not be permitted before the contest on game days.


Press Box/Row –Members of the working media have priority to the press box at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium and Classic Park and press row at the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center once all game personnel needs are met. The Britt Stadium press box is located at the top of the home bleachers. Press row is located at the end of the scorer’s table in between the team bench areas. All media are advised to notify the Lake Erie College Sports Information & Marketing office at least three days in advance of the contest to request credentials which will either be mailed in advance or available for pickup at the ticket table at all admission contests. The press box and press row is a working facility and cheering will not be permitted. No one will be permitted to these areas without appropriate credentials.


Available Services – Pregame information, game notes, statistics, rosters and game programs will be provided online at and on-site for the working media prior to the contest. A contest statistical package will be available to press approximately 10 minutes following the conclusion of the game after computerized in-game statistics are compiled.


Phones/Faxes – Phone lines and a fax machine are available for use by the working media upon request. They are located within the Tracy H. Dickinson Administrative Suite within the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic & Wellness Center. Arrangements at Britt Stadium are pending.


Radio Stations – Radio stations seeking permission and space to broadcast a Storm contest must inform the Lake Erie College Sports Information & Marketing office a minimum of seven days prior to the game date in order to ensure accommodations can be made. A phone line is available courtside within press row.


Television Stations – Television stations wishing to film portions of the game must display station credentials at all times. Please notify the Lake Erie College Sports Information & Marketing office before the game as soon as possible.


Photographers – Anyone wishing to take pictures must have permission from the Sports Information & Marketing office. Appropriate credentials will be issued for floor access and must be displayed at all times. Photographers may shoot from the sideline along press row or from either end zone of the court, except during NCAA play at which time specific zones are determined.


Postgame Interviews – Interviews with Storm players will be conducted in a designated area following a minimum NCAA-mandated 10-minute cooling off period at the conclusion of the contest. Storm coaches can be interviewed following a brief postgame meeting with their respective team. Opposing coach and player interviews will be granted in accordance with the policies of the visiting sports information staff and/or head coach.
