"Nick is the kind of player every coach wants to have," said Head Coach Brian McGee. "He's a great leader as team captain and a strong presence behind the plate for our pitching staff. The fact that he provides such strong offense at a position where that can be hard to find makes Nick truly stand out."
A key member of the Storm since day one on the Painesville campus, Lovick has started 109 games in his three-year career. Last season, Lovick was third on the team in batting, with a .369 average (48-of-130), home runs (six) and runs batted in (36). The Mentor native led the Storm with 13 doubles and posted a .985 fielding percentage while throwing out 13 runners.
