2011: Appeared in 43 games, including 37 starts as a sophomore... emerged as team's primary catcher after injury to Nick Lovick, but also spent time at first base and designated hitter... batted .264 with 32 hits... scored nine runs and drove in 11... struck out just 12 times, fewest among Storm regulars... also had six doubles on the year... had seven multi-hit games (two each time)... drove in three runs in a win at Charleston (W. Va.) on 3/23... doubled twice and drove in two runs at Saginaw Valley on 5/1... threw out 12 attempted base stealers (20.6%).
2010: Played in 41 games and made 36 starts, coming mostly at first base... batted .289 (33-of-114) with 18 runs batted in and 21 runs scored... walked 15 times and struck out a team-low 11 times among those who qualified... recorded his first career hit against St. Andrews on 2/28 and drove in three runs... Went 4-for-4 with six runs batted in against Charlestown on 4/9.
PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Four-year baseball and basketball player at Tallmadge High School... as a catcher/outfielder for the Blue Devils, was named second-team All-Suburban League and played in three league champions.
