COLUMBUS, Ohio—The Lake Erie College baseball team fell in both ends of a doubleheader at Ohio Dominican University Sunday (April 19) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.
The Panthers won game one 3-1 and game two 5-1.
The Storm got on the board first in the fourth inning. With two outs, Zak DeCamp (Gahanna, Ohio/S.t Francis DeSales) tripled to center field. Louie Peterlin (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) followed up with a single to center field to bring DeCamp home for the run. However, the Panthers answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning.
The Storm threatened in the later innings but was unable to cross the plate as they fell in game one.
Brian Bullock (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland) went seven innings in the loss.
The Panthers plated for runs before the Storm got on the board. In the seventh, Aaron Lindgren (Willoughby, Ohio/Willoughby South) led-off with a double. After advancing to third on a wild pitch, he scored on a balk.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Panthers added one more run while the Storm hitters at bay to seal the win.
The Storm is back in action April 22 for a nonconference doubleheader against Davis and Elkins.
