The Lake Erie College baseball team opens their 2016 home schedule against Malone University in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheader. 

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm split a doubleheader against Davis and Elkins last Friday.  In the Storm's 14-1 over the Senators, Russell Lamovec took  a perfect game into the sixth inning.  He finished with four strikeouts in six innings, allowing one hit and one earned run.  Lucas Raley (Hinckley, Ohio/Medina Highland) went three-of-four with three runs, seven RBI, a triple and a grand slam. 

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm and Pioneers have met 14 times previously, with the Pioneers owning an 8-6 edge in the series.  The teams split their 2015 four-game series. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Pioneers enter the game with a 6-8 record.  They fell to #16 Mercyhurst University 10-3 in their last outing.  This also marks their first GLIAC contests of the year.

UP NEXT:  The Storm concludes the four-game series with the Pioneers at Kent State University Saturday (March 26).
