2010: Played in all 11 games, starting the final five games of the year at middle linebacker... named the team's outstanding defensive player after leading the squad with 73 total tackles, including 38 solo stops... had five tackles-for-loss, one sack, forced a fumble and picked off a pass... had double-digit tackles in final five games of season, accounting for 64 stops during that span... made 13 tackles in his first career start at Grand Valley State on 10/16... recorded a career-high 14 tackles (eight solo) against Ohio Dominican on 10/30 and matched that total one week later against Tiffin on 11/6... had a career-best nine solo tackles (12 total) in the finale at Ashalnd and also had a sack in that game... intercepted a pass and returned it 21-yards to set up a crucial fourth-quarter touchdown in the win over ODU... had 11 tackles at Findlay 10/23 and also forced a fumble in the 48-45 win.
2009: Played in all 11 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams… made 19 tackles on the season, including seven solo… returned one kickoff for seven yards at West Liberty on 9/12… recovered an onside kick attempt at Wesley on 11/7… made a career-high four tackles vs. Fairmont State on 9/5… recorded a tackle for loss at Gannon on 8/27… had seven games with two or more tackles.
2008: Played in nine games as a true freshman … made six total tackles, including three solo… named team’s Scout Defensive Player of the Year.
PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Four-year performer in both football and baseball at Admiral King High School… on the gridiron, received first-team all-county honors twice and was a first-team all-district and all-conference pick… served as a team captain and recovered over 100 tackles each varsity season… was a first-team all-county and all-league selection in baseball… member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 17, 1989… majoring in criminal justice… parents are Charles and Deborah Bryant… grandfather Charles Bryant played football at Ohio State University and professionally for the St. Louis Cardinals… great-grandfather Clay Bryant pitched six seasons for the Chicago Cubs, appearing in the 1938 World Series.
