2012: Played in nine games as a true freshman, earning six starts... rushed for a school, single-season record 855 yards on 141 attempts and scored eight touchdowns... averaged 6.1 yards per carry... his 95.0 yards-per-game average was highest in school history as well... had four games over 100 yards, including a career-high 192 yards (23 attempts) at Notre Dame Oct. 6... had a season-long run of 58 yards in that game... ran 27 times for 186 yards at Wayne State Sept. 15... those totals are the second- and third-highest yardage total in a single game in LEC history... his 27 attempts at Wayne State were also a school record... scored two touchdowns in a game three times... other 100-yard efforts came at Ashland (103) on Sept. 29 and at Tiffin (109) on Nov. 10... gained 99 yards on 12 carries in his collegiate debut against Ferris State Sept. 8... caught five passes for 36 yards... averaged a team-high 21.3 yards on 10 kickoff returns (213 yards)... totaled 1,104 all-purpose yards and averaged 122.7 yards-per-game, both most ever in a single season at Lake Erie... named to GLIAC Weekly Honor Roll for Offense four times.   

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Three year varsity player at nearby Riverside High School… as a senior earned first-team All-Premier Athletic Conference and All-Lake County honors on offense as he scored 10 total touchdowns… also received honorable mention all-district and was named to the News-Herald All-Star First Team… also ran track where he was an all-district sprinter and long jumper.

PERSONAL: Born June 19, 1994... son of Trisahelle Smith and Tyrone and Heather Bilal... plans to major in business with a minor in sport management.
