PAINESVILLE, OHIO -- After dropping a second straight shootout, the Storm return home to face Wayne State in their GLIAC home opener this week… through two games Lake Erie ranks second in Division II in total offense, averaging 631.5 yards and 41.0 points per game, but the Storm has lost both games falling to Gannon (36-33) and Ferris State (56-49)… sophomore Anthony Bilal (Painesville, Ohio/Riverside) has already rushed for 379 yards and an NCAA Division II-leading seven touchdowns through two games, including the first four-TD game in LEC history last week at Ferris State… Brendan Gallagher (Aurora, Ohio/Aurora) is averaging 358.0 yards per game in total offense. He (103 yards) and Bilal (169) became the first Lake Erie teammates to go over 100 yards rushing in the same game last week… the Storm has gone over 600 yards total offense and 360 yards rushing in each of the first two weeks, marking the first time in program history those numbers have been reached in back-to-back games… Wayne State has opened with games against top-25 ranked teams, falling to #17 Carson-Newman in week one before bouncing back with a 34-22 win over #22 Ashland to kickoff league play… last year, Lake Erie led 35-13 with 13 minutes left in regulation before Wayne State scored three times in the final 10:32 to pull out the four-point win at home.






UP NEXT: The Storm are on the road next Saturday night, Sept. 14, for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Saginaw Valley State University.
