PAINESVILLE, OHIO – In coordination with NCAA Division II, Lake Erie College will be participating in the annual Week of Wishes to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation Feb. 20-26.
The Lake Erie Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be raising money for the cause by selling Make-A-Wish stars, t-shirts and star shaped cookies at Wednesday night's pep rally and Saturday's men's and women's basketball Senior Day doubleheader vs. Ashland University. Donations will also be collected.
If you are unable to make it to this weekend's games but would still like to support the cause on behalf of Lake Erie, you can do so through the NCAA at http://www.wish.org/NCAADII.
NCAA Division II is committed to helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation make wishes come true, one wish at a time. Since 2003, NCAA Division II has been a national sponsor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, raising over $1.9 million to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Student-athletes, coaches, administrators, parents and fans are serving their communities and wish kids through their heartfelt fundraising efforts. Together NCAA Division II has helped to grant more than 275 wishes. But the goal line is still ahead; help the Make-A-Wish Foundation achieve its vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.
