STORM OPENS UP 2014 HOME SLATE: The Lake Erie College men's basketball team returns home after splitting a pair of contest in the Upper Pennisula to start the year.
RECENT RESULTS:The Storm split a pair of road games this past weekend, falling to Lake Superior State University, 83-66, before defeating Northwood University, 102-79.
STORM NOTES: The Storm had one of their best offensive performances since transitioning to Division II at Northwood... the 102 points scored and the 23-point differential was the highest margin of victory were the highest totals the Storm have achieved in a GLIAC contest... Senior guard Riley Thomas scored a career-high 32 points against Northwood, the most for a Storm player since joining the GLIAC... Thomas is leading the Storm with 21.9 ppg... Classmate and fellow guard Tom Parker did his best Steve Nash impersonation against Northwood, assisting on a career-high 13 field goals... Sophomore forward Roy Alexander had a caereer day off the bench, scoring 16 points and grabbing seven rebounds... Freshman forward Michael Morris continued his hot start at Lake Erie, dropping 20 points against Northwood, hitting six-of-seven three-point attempts... On the season, the Storm is shooting 46.7% from beyond the three-point arch.
NEXT UP: The Storm remain at home next weekend to wrap-up a four-game homestand, hosting Malone University and Walsh University.
