Storm Set to Host Warriors (PREVIEW)

GAME NOTES 

The Lake Erie College men's basketball team returns to action Thursday night (Jan. 22) to play host to Wayne State University.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm battled Walsh University until the final seconds but was unable to overcome the Cavaliers, falling 70-67.  Trey Howard and Andy Bosley led the Storm 14 points apiece.  Jamil Dudley added 13 and tied his career-high with eight rebounds.  The Storm netted 24 points off turnovers and outscored the Cavaliers in the paint, 28-14. 

SERIES HISTORY: The Storm is 0-6 all-time against Wayne State.  Last season, the Storm fell to the Warriors in Painesville, 79-70.  Riley Thomas and Garrick Sims led the Storm with 14 points apiece in the game.  Michael Morris added 10 points and a team-high five rebounds. 

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Warriors are 2-11 overall this season and 2-8 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.  They are currently on a six-game losing streak, including back-to-back overtime losses in their previous two outings against Tiffin University and Ohio Dominican University.  Gavin Toma leads the Warriors in scoring, averaging 14.3 points per game.  

FORECAST: The Storm is back at home Saturday (Jan. 24) afternoon to wrap-up a three-game home stand against the University of Findlay.
