BAY CITY, Mich.—Senior Lake Erie College men's basketball player Jamil Dudley was named Second-Team All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), announced by the conference Monday (March 2).
Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) led the Storm this season in scoring, averaging 14.2 points per game while shooting 47.7%. From the three-point line, Dudley shot 42.7%.
In nine games this season, Dudley scored 15 or more points. In the Storm's first game of the season against Texas A&M-Kingsville, Dudley scored a career-high 30 points, hitting 10-of-14 shots and five-of-seven three-pointers. Dudley also hit five three-pointers in the Storm's win at the University of Findlay.
In addition to scoring, Dudley averaged four rebounds a game. He grabbed five or more rebounds in eight games. He had career-high nine rebounds at Northern Michigan.
The GLIAC also released its annual award winners. Ben Stelzer of Michigan Tech University was named Player of the Year. Ben Haraway of Malone Univeristy was named Freshman of the Year. Steve Hettinga of Lake Superior State University was named Coach of the Year.
