PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's basketball team will travel to battle with Malone on Thursday (Jan.11) and Walsh on Saturday (Jan. 13), with the games set to tip at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m. respectively.
Storm Report: The Storm is 9-6 overall and 4-3 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action, and is coming off a loss to Findlay. Head Coach Kyle Conley said, "Malone has our full attention. They had an extremely impressive win at Kentucky Wesleyan, and we understand how good Malone is."
Opposition Position: The Pioneers are 10-6 and 3-5 in conference play, and are coming off a win over Kentucky Wesleyan. Coach Conley said, "Malone has one of the best trios of scorers in our conference, and we need to defend the perimeter." The Cavaliers are 9-3 overall and 6-2 in Great Midwest action, and are riding a four game winning streak. Coach Conley said, "Coach Young has done a great job getting his guys to play together this quickly, and has them playing at a very high level."
Coach Conley concluded, "Both teams score the ball, we need to find a way to hold them under their points per game average, and we need to make shots on the road."
Forecast: Lake Erie will return to the hardwood Monday (Jan. 15) when they host Alderson Broaddus with the game set to tip at 5:30 p.m.
