(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – The final home game of the regular season is here as Lake Erie hosts Hillsdale on Saturday afternoon. Every game is pivotal from here on out with each team playing for something important.
For the Storm (14-9, 9-6), it's a second consecutive bid to the G-MAC Tournament in the first week of March. The Chargers (16-6, 12-3) have already punched their ticket to the dance, but are still in the hunt for the conference championship.
The teams come in as the two of the best defenses in the conference. Lake Erie is third in the G-MAC allowing just 67.8 points per game. Hillsdale leads in that category yielding just 64.5 points a game. The first battle between the teams this season proved just that as the Chargers took a 61-47 decision in Michigan.
While the final four games are on the road for the Storm, they are all relatively close to campus. Next week sees the Storm travel to Cedarville and Tiffin before closing the regular season in Stark County at Walsh and Malone.
It will be the last time for seniors Brogan Scott and David Dunnigan to wear the Green and White in front of the home crowd in the regular season. The duo will be honored about 10 minutes before the 3 p.m. tip-off.
