PAINESVILLE, OHIO – After round one was suspended due to darkness, the Lake Erie College men's golf team had a busy day on Sunday (Oct. 9) to wrap up the University of Findlay Invitational. The Storm finished its first round and then went out and played round two, finishing the 12-team event in ninth place with a team score of 637.
Junior Mike Guarino (Concord, Ohio/Mentor) was once again the low shooter for LEC, tying for 31st place individually with a two-round score of 75-78-153. Seniors Frank Whites III (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) and Matt Hennessey (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) followed at 81-75-156 and 81-78-159, respectively.
Grand valley State University won the team title, with Laker Travis Shooks claiming individual medalist honors.
The event concluded the Storm's fall season.
