CHICAGO, Ill.-- The Lake Erie College men's golf team concluded play at the NCAA Regional #1 event hosted at Harborside Golf Club in Chicago, Ill. Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The two round tournament featured 34 schools in the Midwest region.
As a team, the Storm finished in 32nd. Ian Hardesty (Chardon, Ohio/Notre Dame Cathedral Latin) and Jimmy Wild (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Trinity) had the best finishes for the Storm. Each golfer shot a combined 155 over the course of two rounds to finish the event in a tie for 73rd. Nick Bubon (Warren, Ohio/Howland) placed 147th with a two round score of 166. Nick Stranman (Jefferson, Ohio/Jefferson) rounded out the scoring for the Storm by finishing in 161st with a score of 177.
Malone University captured the overall team title.
The Storm is back in action to conclude their fall season at the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Fall Championships held at Cherry Blossoms Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky. October 9-12.
