BALTIMORE, MD. – The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team continued its haul of postseason hardware Tuesday (June 11) as Greg Stocks was named national Coach of the Year and sophomore midfielder Reagan Harding (Saskatoon, Sask./Bishop Jones Mahoney) was named Division II All-American by Jac Coyne and Lacrosse Magazine.
Stocks led the Storm to a 12-5 record and the fourth-year program's first NCAA Tournament appearance. After earning a top-ten national ranking and finishing third in the conference during the regular season – for which Stocks was named ECAC Division II Coach of the Year - Lake Erie reached the championship game of the ECAC Tournament. In the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, the Storm took top-ranked and eventual national runner-up Mercyhurst University to overtime before falling 10-9.
A first-team All-ECAC and second-team USILA All-American pick, Harding earned one of three midfield spots on the 12-man Lacrosse Magazine All-American Team. He tallied 34 goals and added eight assists for 42 points on the season, including a four-point game in the ECAC semifinal win over Seton Hill University that essentially clinched an NCAA berth.
