Men's Lacrosse Opens Home Schedule Against Ohio Valley (PREVIEW)

STORM OPENS UP HOME AND ECAC PLAY: The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team opens up the home and ECAC portions of their schedule against Ohio Valley University.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell in a defensive battle with 11th-ranked Pfeiffer University last Saturday (March 15).  Adam Bakular caused seven turnovers in the game while Nicholas Simonetti made 11 saves in net.  Macgregor Johnston netted two goals while Austin Bishop and Robert Pelkey had one apiece.

OPPOSITION POSITION: The Fighting Scots enter the game with a 1-8 record.  In their most recent outing, they fell to Mount Olive College 23-6.  Kyle Aylesworth, Brandon Buck and Adam Dickson have 19 points each to lead Ohio Valley.  Harley Gadomski anchors the defense, making 115 saves this season.

SERIES HISTORY: Lake Erie is 2-0 all-time against Ohio Valley. The Storm won last season's meeting 21-3.  In that game, Trevor Tarte scored a program-high 10 goals. 

BAKULAR NAMED ECAC CO-DEFENSIVE POW: Senior defender Adam Bakular was named ECAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his play at 11th-ranked Pfeiffer over the weekend.  Bakular caused a career-high seven turnovers while grabbing three ground balls.  On the season, Bakular has tallied nine caused turnovers, six groundballs and one assist. 

NEXT UP: The Storm is back at home Saturday, playing host to Alderson-Broaddus College.
