PERRY, N.Y.—Lake Erie College men's lacrosse senior Justin Goodwin was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American for his performance on and off the field this past season.
On the field, Goodwin (New Westminster, B.C./New Westminster Secondary) was an USILA First-Team All-American and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Defensive Player of the Year. Goodwin collected 105 groundballs and caused 53 turnovers. He picked up seven or more groundballs eight times, including a season-high of 14 against Lindenwood University. Against Roberts Wesleyan College and Mercyhurst University, Goodwin caused six turnovers. In addition to his defensive prowess, Goodwin scored four goals and assisted on three.
Goodwin, a biology major, earned a 3.82 cumulative GPA at Lake Erie.
