PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team will open their 2018 campaign Saturday (March 3) when they travel to play top ranked Merricmack, with the game set to start at 1 p.m.
Storm Report: The Storm is coming off a solid 2017 season as they advanced to the Great Midwest semifinal match last season. Head Coach Steve Gartelman said, "The men had a very strong fall, which we are looking to build on this spring. It's a team that's hungry and motivated, but most importantly we are together."
Opposition Position: The Warriors are 1-0 on the season and are currently the top ranked team in the nation. Merrimack is coming off a 16-14 win over NYIT.
Coach Gartelman concluded, "We're all very excited to begin our first season in the northern region. It will make our schedule look a little different, but we still have a very strong line up, both in and out of conference. Our potential is endless and we hope to show it with a strong year."
Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (March 10) when they host Rollins with the game set to start at 12 p.m.
