Storm Ready for Battlers (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team will be in action Saturday (March 17) when they host Alderson Broaddus, with the game set to start at 12 p.m.

Storm Report: The Storm is 2-1 overall and is 1-0 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference action.  The Storm is coming off a win over Walsh.  Head Coach Steve Gartelman said, "The guys are motivated.  After film study we know we could have played a cleaner game the last time out, so we are motivated to attempt to improve as we fight to try and earn another win Saturday."

Opposition Position: The Battlers are 0-2 overall and are coming off a loss to Georgian Court.  Coach Gartelman added, "Alderson Broaddus has a big, rangy defense.  They slide well and can cause turnovers.  We will need to have great tempo in order to make it tough on their defense."

Coach Gartelman concluded, "We need to win the turnover battle.  With two games this week we will need to play and trust some of our young guys to execute the game plan on a short week to help our endurance."

Forecast: Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (March 24) when they travel to take on Mercyhurst, with the game set to start at 3 p.m.
