CHARLESTON, W. VA (September 19, 2008) - Lake Erie College earned its first win of the season Friday evening on the road against Charleston, 3-2.
The Storm's Brent Bleasdell (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./South Plantation) netted his first goal of the season to put Lake Erie up 1-0 in the first half. Charleston wasn't able to counter with a goal until the second half when they tied the game in the 30th minute.
Bleasdell then answered with his second goal of the night on a pass from freshman Kyle Roesch (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) to allow the Storm to regain the lead in the 58th minute. Charleston once again tied the game, but Lake Erie scored the final goal of the night in the 88th minute on a shot by sophomore Anthony Belviso (Euclid, Ohio/Euclid) with an assist from Bleasdell.
The Storm totaled seven shots as compared to Charleston's six.
Lake Erie (1-8) hosts Malone on Tuesday at 4 p.m. in its first home game this season.
