Lake Erie College (1-16-1, 0-12 GLIAC) finished its season with a 4-0 loss to GLIAC foe Tiffin University (11-5-1, 8-3-1 GLIAC) in a home match at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium in Painesville, Ohio. It was Senior Day for the Storm as they honored seven seniors playing their last game in the Green and White.
This was the first conference game the Storm dropped by more than two goals this season.
Tiffin scored twice in the first 20 minutes as Pierre DePauw scored at point blank range after a cross from Ashton Campbell in the 12th minute and Rhys Cannella scored a similar goal from eight yards out in the from Michael O'Neill in the 20th minute.
Tiffin did not sit on that lead and after being contained for the next 50 minutes broke through when Campbell got a goal of his own from five yards out from Stepan Mariano. The Dragons got a fourth goal in the 77th minute when Jesse Burke capitalized on a Lake Erie turnover.
Tiffin won the battle of shots, 33-7, and corner kicks, 9-1.
Sophomore Ricky Carreira (Toronto, Ont./Dante Alighieri Academy), the Division II leader in saves, made 10 stops on the day. Carreira finished the season with 168 saves, the second most in Lake Erie history for a single season.
