PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College men's soccer team will look to solidify their GLIAC Tournament spot as they will honor the seniors of the program with a matchup with the Walsh University Cavaliers on Sunday (Oct. 30).
Storm Report: The Storm defeated Ohio Dominican 3-2 in two overtimes on Wednesday (Oct. 26) to improve to 8-6-3 overall and 6-6-3 in the GLIAC. Stuart Campbell scored two goals for the Storm, including the game-winner in double overtime.
GLIAC Tournament Bid: Lake Erie currently holds the fourth and final spot for the GLIAC Tournament next week. The Storm has 21 points while Findlay has 19 and Ohio Dominican has 18.
Series History: In 11 matchups, the Storm has a 9-2 advantage in the series with the Cavaliers. In the matchup earlier this season, the Storm defeated Walsh 3-0.
Opposition Position: Walsh is 6-10-1 overall for the 2016 season, including 4-10-1 in the conference. The Cavaliers defeated the Ashland Eagles 1-0 in their last game.
Storm Forecast: Pending the results of the final day, Lake Erie could have a road matchup with Saginaw Valley State in the GLIAC Tournament next week.
