PAINESVILLE, Ohio- The Lake Erie College men's soccer team will travel to Kentucky Wesleyan College and Trevecca Nazarene University for two Great Midwest matchups this weekend. The Storm will face the Panthers on Thursday (Oct. 5) in Owensboro, Kentucky and the Trojans on Saturday (Oct. 7) in Nashville, Tennessee.
Storm Report: The Storm begins the road trip with a 4-6 overall record and a 3-5 Great Midwest mark. The Storm have won two straight games, including a 4-0 shutout of Malone on Saturday (Sept. 30).+ Javier Borreguero (Nigran, Spain / Los Sauces School) leads the team with five goals and four assists.
Opposition Position: Kentucky Wesleyan enters the matchup with a 0-8-1 mark and a 0-7-1 G-MAC record. The Panthers fell 3-0 to Ohio Valley on the road in their last game. Austin Moore leads the Panthers with two goals scored. Trevecca is 3-5-2 this season with a 3-4-1 record in conference matches. The Trojans were defeated 3-1 at Cedarville last week. Ethan Keogh is the leading scorer with five goals.
Series History: The Storm has never faced off against the Panthers and Trojans. This week will be the first matchup between the schools.
