PAINESVILLE, OHIO – The Lake Erie College men's track and field team set a pair of school records and had one individual event winner Saturday (April 23) at the Sparky Adams Invitational at Baldwin-Wallace College.
Freshman Jamil Dudley (Massillon, Ohio/Massillon) once again dominated the high jump, winning the event by a full two inches over the runner-up with a jump of 6' 11".
Meanwhile, sophomore Cody Lancaster (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake) and freshman Isaac Reid (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg) set school records in the 3,000-meter steeple chase and the long jump, respectively. Lancaster ran a solid 9:47.95, becoming the first LEC runner to break 10 minutes in the event and finishing second, while Reid jumped 21' 4" to place seventh.
Sophomore Garrett Ondrus (Oregon, Ohio/Clay) challenged the school 110-meter high hurdle record before finishing seventh in the event with a time of 15.12 seconds. He placed sixth in the 400-hurdles, clocking a time of 57.5 seconds.
The Storm wraps up a busy weekend on Sunday, April 24, at the Jesse Owens Classic at the Ohio State University in Columbus.
