PAINESVILLE, OHIO – For the third consecutive year, the Lake Erie College women's track and field team was honored by the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as a Division II All-Academic Team, highlighted by Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) earning individual All-Academic honors.
As a team, the Storm women posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.06. Lake Erie was one of 83 NCAA Division II teams to earn the designation, including 11 schools from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
Prusky, a rising sophomore, competed in the high jump for the Storm and was an NCAA Division II Championships provisional qualifier in the event. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have reached a provisional or automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Championships in either indoor or outdoor seasons.
