KENT, Ohio— The Lake Erie College track and field teams hit several personal and school best at the Kent State Tune Up Saturday (Feb. 21).
Joe Postwaite finished second in the high jump, clearing a height of 2.10 meters (6'10.75"). That height is currently the 10th best in Division-II. Alex Jolly (Staten Island, N.Y.) took ninth in the long jump with a distance of 6.26 meters (20'6.5").
Cody Graybeal (Shiloh, Ohio/Crestwood) had a personal best in the pole vault at a height of 4.13 meters (13'6.5").
Vincent Horning (Stow, Ohio/Stow) set a Lake Erie mark in the one mile race with a time of 4:18.05, taking sixth in the event. Horning also had a personal best in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:57.18, placing him in ninth.
Jordan Sensabaugh placed eighth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.41 seconds. He also finished ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.56.
Sean Stone (Newton Falls, Ohio/Southeast) set a school mark in the weight throw with a toss of 17.11 meters (56'1.75"), placing him in 12th.
Danielle Corbin (Atlanta, Ga.) took third in the long jump with a leap of 5.31 meters (17'5.25"). Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) took seventh in the event with a jump of 5.22 meters (17'1.5"). Lee also took third in the triple jump with a distance of 11.88 meters (38'11.75").
Corbin finished sixth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.85 seconds. In prelims, she had a season best time of 7.832 seconds.
Ariana Jorgensen (Kleinburg, Ont./Emily Carr Secondary) took fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a season best time of 8.83 seconds.
The Storm is back in action next weekend competing in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships.
