Lee, Prusky, Postwaite Qualify for Indoor Track and Field National Championships

PAINESVILLE, Ohio—Three members of the Lake Erie College Track and Field team will represent the Storm at the 2015 NCAA Division-II Track and Field Championships.

Sophomore Nadia Lee (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) and senior Destiny Prusky (Newton Falls, Ohio/Newton Falls) will represent the Storm women while Senior Joe Postwaite (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) will represent the men.

"It is a great for our program to continue to make a push at the national level," said Storm Head Coach Ryan Rademacher. "I am always excited when hard work pays off and our student-athletes get to experience the best in the country at the National Championships. I am also excited to finally have our first women compete at the Indoor Championships."

Lee qualified for the triple jump.  At the SPIRE Midwest Open in January, Lee had a season best jump of 12.04 meters (39'6").  At the GLIAC Championships last week, she captured silver in the event.  This will be the first Indoor Championship for Lee, who qualified last season in the triple jump for the Outdoor Championships.

Prusky qualified in the high jump.  At the SPIRE D-II Challenge in February, Prusky cleared a season- and program-best height of 1.73 meters (5'7").  This will be the first Indoor Championships for Prusky who has competed in the Outdoor Championships the past two seasons.

All-American Postwaite will represent the Storm men in the triple and high jumps.  At the Kent State Tune Up in February, Postwaite cleared a season-best height of 2.10 meters (6'10.75") in the high jump.  His best finish in the triple jump was at the SPIRE D-II Challenge with a leap of 15.24 meters (50').  For Postwiate, this will be his third straight appearance at the Indoor Championships, finishing runner-up in the triple jump last year.

"Postwaite is returning in the high jump and triple in his last indoor championship," continued Rademacher. "There is no limit to what he can do on the track."

"It is a great for our program to continue to make a push on the national level."
